Job Title Quality Engineer Location Port Talbot Contract Permanent Salary £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (plus benefits) About the Company My client is a leading Engineering and Manufacturing company supplying precision components and assemblies into a range of industries. They are looking to expand their team by taking on a Quality Engineer to work at their site in Port Talbot. Required Attributes Previous experience working as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing or engineering environment Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) for design validation and dimensional analysis Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies Proven track record in delivering process improvements and efficiency gains Strong understanding of quality tools and techniques such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and SPC Knowledge of ISO9001 or other quality management systems Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and suppliers A relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BEng, or equivalent) Role Responsibilities Supporting and improving quality processes across production and engineering departments Using 3D CAD tools to validate designs and ensure manufacturability Implementing and maintaining Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives Conducting root cause analysis and driving corrective actions Performing internal audits and supporting external audits as required Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues Generating and maintaining quality documentation, inspection plans, and reports Contributing to product and process development to ensure compliance and efficiency Apply If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up‑to‑date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
