Overview Stantec is recruiting for a Senior Civil Design Engineer - Transmission & Distribution role in the United Kingdom. The opportunity focuses on contributing to energy sector projects with a civil design engineering focus. Responsibilities Join a growing, collaborative team and work with a variety of clients to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. Support FEED design and detailed design for the civil aspects of Energy projects. Provide technical solutions, develop detailed designs, and support Project Managers and Team Leaders on day-to-day activities. Work on projects across energy sectors (e.g., Energy from Waste, Solar, Interconnectors, Windfarms, Substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, connections schemes, etc.). Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects and contribute to the UK energy transition. Qualifications Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution. On route to professional registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council; ICE membership is preferred. Pro-active with knowledge and understanding of the Energy Sector; engaged in the engineering community and aware of innovative solutions and industry best practices. Knowledge of National Grid’s Transmission procedures is desirable; any energy sector experience is highly regarded.
