The post holder will be responsible for all clinical and operational aspects of the post, as well as day to day line management of the Perinatal Team.To have the responsibility to provide leadership for the Perinatal Mental Health Team.To ensure that nursing care is delivered to the highest standard at all times ensuring staff are kept motivated and up to date with new and innovative practices in the service while encouraging a collaborative approach to the delivery of care.To ensure the philosophy of person-centred care is shared by the team, the patient/carer being central to the care planning process.Participation in the delivery of service objectives, performance management, budgetary controls and service targets is an integral part of the role, as well as providing expert knowledge and advice to a wide range of service providers and users of the service.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to applyMain duties of the jobTo work with the Service Manager to ensure that the team provides an appropriate service to the public within current legislation, regulations, guidance and the Health Board policies and procedures.The Perinatal Team Lead will work clinically andcollaboratively alongside key professionals to oversee and ensure specialistclinical assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care inthe community for women with PNMH services and their families.Influential in promoting mental health wellbeing, demonstrating enhanced competence in complex, clinical assessment, decision making, and the management of clinical needs. There will be times when decision making will require timely and responsive intervention to manage risk.Lead on the collection and collation of data / information effectively for the purpose of audit, and service performance and work in partnership with clients, carers and other agencies to ensure effectiveness of performance and clinical outcomes.
