Pharmacy Production Manager Technical Services Join to apply for the Pharmacy Production Manager Technical Services role at Make It Count Marketing Job Summary Production Manager - Technical Services Band 8b Fixed term until November 2026 The MHRA licenced "Specials" pharmacy manufacturing unit is based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and is a modern purpose built unit within the hospital. The service encompasses aseptic, chemotherapy and pre‑pack (over labelling and repackaging products) supplying both the Trust and external organisations. As a department we constantly strive to re‑engineer our services to improve our delivery of patient focused pharmaceutical care and customer satisfaction. Main duties of the job Working with the Production Manager you will proactively contribute to further develop the service through audit and the development of business cases in response to local and national demand in line with the NHS Infusions and Specials Medicines Board. Supported by our Quality Team you will assist in the operation of, maintenance of and development of the quality management system and help to prepare for and participate in any inspections and audits undertaken by the MHRA or other regulatory authority. The post holder will manage, along with the production manager and lead technicians, the production unit providing technical support and guidance. Once trained you will act as a releasing officer, across all production areas, ensuring compliance with the terms of the MHRA licence at all times. Details Date posted: 03 November 2025 Pay scheme: Agenda for change Band: Band 8b Salary: £64,455 to £74,896 a year per annum Contract: Fixed term Duration: 12 months Working pattern: Full‑time, Part‑time, Flexible working Job locations: Royal Stoke University Hospital, Newcastle Road, STOKE ON TRENT, ST4 6QG Reference number: 205‑7463198‑A Person Specification Essential Qualifications Masters degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma / MSc or equivalent qualification Releasing Officer in a MHRA Licensed Unit or eligible to undertake this training Desirable PTQA qualification Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification Formal management and / or leadership qualification Member of the RPS Member of British Oncology Pharmacy Association Essential Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience Extensive hospital pharmacy experience post registration Recent, extensive experience of working at a senior level within a pharmacy manufacturing unit or a related industry.
