The Role We are seeking passionate, dedicated Maths Teachers to deliver Functional Skills Maths at Entry 3 and Level 1 to adult and post 16 learners in Newcastle. You will join a supportive team, helping learners build confidence and essential maths skills that support progression. What s on offer? £30,000 £40,000 per annum Teacher s pension scheme 28.68% employer contribution Excellent holiday allowance Who We re Looking For Proven experience delivering GCSE or functional skills maths whether that is to secondary students or post 16 any experience delivering to resit students is a huge advantage. Ability to design differentiated lessons, assess learner progress, and support mixed ability groups to achieve outcomes. Willingness and flexibility to adapt teaching style for further education/adult learners needs. Main Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Functional Skills Maths lessons at Entry 3 and Level 1. Assess and monitor learners progress, provide feedback, set learning goals. Create inclusive and supportive learning environments tailored to adult/post 16 learners. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources, track attendance, and support overall learner achievement and development. Prepare students for assessments and manage exam entries where required.
