This is a full‑time maternity cover opportunity for a passionate linguist who can ignite curiosity, confidence and joy in learning French and/or Spanish. About the Role and You Contract type: Full Time, Maternity Cover (1 year)Salary: Dependent on experienceStart date: April 2026 Responsibilities Deliver engaging, high‑quality language lessons to pupils. Foster a love of languages through purposeful, creative and child‑centred learning experiences. Plan well‑structured, progressive learning sequences that stretch and support all pupils. Use assessment effectively to ensure strong pupil progress. Build warm, supportive relationships with pupils and families. Contribute positively to our caring, collaborative staff team. Support the wider life of the school, including events, clubs or trips where appropriate. Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom practice, and the ability to inspire pupils of varying ages and abilities. About You A fluent linguist (Spanish essential; French desirable). Qualified to teach with QTS, PGCE or equivalent. Experienced with children aged 3‑11. Creative, enthusiastic and child‑focused in approach. Warm, professional and collaborative.
