You will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, robust systems and controls, and the delivery of analysis that empowers decision-making across the business.Working closely with senior management and teams across the company, you will not only safeguard financial accuracy but also contribute to Cromwell’s Culture of Excellence – promoting accountability, collaboration and innovation in everything you do.This role is designed with a clear progression path, aiming to develop into Financial Controller and ultimately Finance Director within 5 to 10 years, supported by direct mentoring from the current Finance Director.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESFINANCIAL REPORTING & CONTROLLead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and company policies.Manage the general ledger, ensuring financial records are accurate, complete, and timely.Oversee reconciliations across all key accounts (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).Prepare consolidated financial statements for group reporting, ensuring accuracy across entities.BUDGETING& FORECASTINGLead the annual budgeting process and support rolling forecasts.Provide insightful financial analysis to senior management to support planning, monitor performance, and drive decision-making.Identify opportunities for improving profitability, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.TAXATION & COMPLIANCEEnsure timely submission of all tax returns (VAT, PAYE, PPT, EPR) in line with UK regulations.Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance.INTERNAL CONTROLS & RISK MANAGEMENTDevelop and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.Proactively identify financial risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.SYSTEMS & PROCESS IMPROVEMENTEvaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Keep up to date with best practices, technology, and innovations (ERP, automation, analytics) to strengthen financial management.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSCIMA qualified (or in final year)Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)Import and Export experience desirableAdvanced Excel skills; Power BI desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
