Campus Security Officer – Full Time and Relief Team Join to apply for the Campus Security Officer – Full Time and Relief Team role at Vigilant Security in Southampton and surrounding areas. Scope 1 position Full Time, 60 hours per week. 1 position Relief covering holidays, absences, working days and weekends. Post holder requires SIA license. Pay rate: £13.01 – £14.10 per hour, site dependant. Main Duties & Responsibilities Provide a prompt, polite and warm welcome to all visitors. Anticipate clients’ needs/problems before they arise and ensure expectations are met and exceeded. Be a visible, customer‑focused professional by greeting and engaging with visitors. Deliver consistent professional service at all times. Communicate visitor/client arrivals promptly to relevant personnel. Maintain high security awareness at all times. Undertake patrols and inspections as per management instructions. Use relevant communications equipment proficiently; strong communication skills required. Adhere to all H&S policies. Prevent unauthorised persons from accessing prohibited areas. Issue visitor passes following approved processes and procedures. Maintain accurate incident records. Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact with people at all levels. Immaculate presentation. Clear, concise and patient communication focused on customer service, with keen attention to detail. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Computer literate. Good written and verbal communication skills. Verified suitability for 5 years or since leaving compulsory education. Current SIA license. Ability to support the wider team as required.
