Railway Infrastructure Assistant Project Manager

Global Rail Construction Ltd is part of the RSK Group and is a leading UK provider of design and build services to clients in the rail and transportation sector.The company is a principal contractor for UK mainline and metro railways across a number of disciplines, which include signalling, mechanical, electrical and power (MEP), telecoms, civil and structural engineering, maintenance, renewal, providing a fully tested and commissioned service, on both Network Rail and Transport for London controlled infrastructure.We are currently seeking a full-time Railway Infrastructure Assistant Project Manager to deliver an effective, efficient, and safe service for the company. The role is ideally suited to a career-minded Assistant Project Manager.Your duties will include:Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the workforce and plant on siteLiaising with the client as requiredEnsuring smooth progress of projects whilst meeting budgetsMaking sure contracts are handed back to the client as per requirementsSafeguarding GRCL’s commercial, production and safety issues as defined in the scope of works detailed at the start of projectsTo be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following credentials:Strong civil and rail experienceUnderstanding and working use of Network Rail and British StandardsAbility to work together in a team environmentTechnical, analytical, and numerical design abilitiesOutstanding communication skills and demonstrable presentation skillsFlexibility to travel throughout the UK as and when required and availability to work weekends and nightsKnowledge of Network Rail and London Underground design and build processesCivils, Drainage, Piling and Temporary works experienceA full UK Driving LicencePersonal Track Safety Certificate (PTS)SMSTSCertification in the use of various handheld power toolsCSCS cardAbout us:Global Rail Construction has an outstanding reputation for employee retention and our success lies in the quality and diversity of our people and our commitment to training and developing our staff.We value diversity and inclusion as an employer, which is why we invite applications from all individuals regardless of background or education.
