Key Responsibilities
  • Design advanced electronic circuits for industry-leading safety system components.
  • Drive product qualification through rigorous design and testing processes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Product Management, Marketing, Software Engineers, Mechanical Designers, and more.
  • Support manufacturing processes, working with Production and Test Engineering teams to introduce new products and maintain existing ones.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by maintaining technical knowledge and applying the latest innovations.
  • Provide expert technical support to our Field Support Department.
  • Engage with suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure our products meet the highest standards.
  • Potentially lead small projects, creating proposals, tracking progress, and delivering on-time results.
  • International travel opportunities may be available.
What We're Looking For
  • Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven expertise in electronics product development within an R&D environment.
  • Strong experience in digital/microcontroller hardware development.
  • Extensive experience in analogue electronics design using transistors, Op-Amps, and passive components.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset, willing to support and mentor junior engineers.
Desirable Skills & Experience (Bonus, But Not Essential)
  • Previous experience in the Fire or Security industry.
  • Knowledge of EMC standards and testing.
  • Experience with International Standards compliance and type testing.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools like SPICE, and designing with programmable logic devices (PALs, FPGAs, CPLDs). Embedded software development experience.
  • Understanding of Electrical Safety and Hazardous Area Applications.
  • Knowledge of Field Bus and communication networks.
  • Project management skills with the ability to lead small teams.
