Carlsberg Marstons Brewing Company (CMBC) is one of the leading, historic brewers in the UK. We are now recruiting for a Day Operations Manager to join us. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role will be responsible for providing leadership, driving performance excellence, and fostering a culture of engagement.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership and drive performance excellence by building a culture of engagement and continuous improvement through lean methodologies.
  • Set clear development strategies for the team, ensuring key targets and objectives related to quality service, people, and cost are achieved.
  • Lead improvements around Good Manufacturing Practice and embed working practices that deliver sustainable results.
  • Develop a behavioral safety culture and promote a safe working environment by ensuring full compliance with all SH&E policies and processes.
  • Effectively communicate strategic plans, regular business performance updates, and local KPI performance to teams and department managers.
  • Drive 100% compliance of autonomous/preventative maintenance through engineering and operations teams.

Experience And Key Attributes:

  • Qualified to degree level or of graduate caliber with demonstrable experience in a food manufacturing / FMCG company.
  • Significant operational manufacturing experience & knowledge within an FMCG context.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of using Lean tools and techniques to deliver sustained improvements.
  • Knowledge of key standards in Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental practices.
  • Capable and experienced people leader, skilled in influencing, motivating, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to network positively with staff from all levels and departments.
  • Current or eligibility to gain full working rights in the UK.
