The Role We’re seeking a Technical Program Manager who is excited to be at the center of building the Embodied AI to power a ‘new wave’ of robots that act with human-level intelligence. This is an opportunity to work hand in hand with researchers in our Robotics team and external partners to bring our research breakthroughs to the real world. About You In order to set you up for success as a Technical Program Manager at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Experienced at leading complex technical programs and have 6+ years of experience as a technical program manager, with a strong track record of successful program delivery. Proven ability to navigate fast-paced, ever-evolving environments, demonstrating resourcefulness and creativity in solving complex challenges and implementing scalable solutions. Strong communication skills with the ability to distill sophisticated technical ideas to broad audiences including leadership. Demonstrated ability to improve processes, workflows, and governance models to enhance efficiency within research teams. Experience working with senior leadership, confidently communicating challenges and risks while proposing new solutions. In addition, the following would be an advantage: Prior experience working with hardware (e.g., robots, autonomous vehicles, etc.) in a research environment. Prior experience managing collaborations with external partners. Prior experience managing the preparation and delivery of demos in collaboration with research, marketing, and communications teams. Strong technical background with an understanding of AI and robotics. Prior experience working with globally distributed teams. The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $183,000 USD - 271,000 USD + bonus + equity + benefits.
