Job Summary We are pleased to offer an exciting 6‑month secondment opportunity for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to join the Trust Admin Department, providing high‑level support to our Executive Directors. Main Duties This secondment will offer the successful candidate a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, supporting strategic leadership and contributing to the smooth running of executive functions. Details Date posted: 04 December 2025 Pay scheme: Agenda for change Band: Band 5 Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 a year (pro‑rata) Contract: Fixed term Duration: 6 months Working pattern: Full‑time Reference number: 413‑101053‑TA‑DA Job locations: Executive Support – E00429, Manchester, M20 4BX Responsibilities Provide an initial meet‑and‑greet reception service to all visitors to the Trust Administration offices and meeting centre Communicate with staff, patients, public and external agencies Provide comprehensive secretarial support to Executive Directors Coordinate meetings, maintain up‑to‑date diaries, and manage the Condeco electronic booking system Arrange travel/accommodation and ensure trust policy adherence Process correspondence, payments and orders using the e‑procurement system Follow risk management, fire safety and other trust procedures Person Specification Essential Current experience of administrative/secretarial work with advanced keyboard skills Computer‑literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, email) Previous NHS experience or similar Knowledge of secretarial techniques to RSA level III or equivalent Excellent command of English grammar and written communication skills Organisational ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrates Trust values & behaviours Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Adaptability to evolving work practices and IT applications Able to take initiative and generate ideas Capability to manage a diverse and busy workload Desirable Evidence of additional relevant qualifications (e.g. business administration, IT qualifications) Executive Assistant or personal assistant qualifications to RSA level III or equivalent Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
