Our mission is to put patients at the heart of everything we do. Job Overview Band 5 Rotational Senior Pharmacy Technician – current trainee pharmacy technicians are invited to apply. The role involves working in the pharmacy dispensary, pharmacy stores, and on wards. You will support the pharmacy team in providing a high‑quality service, contribute to medicines optimisation, and be involved in accredited checking and clinical counselling. Key Responsibilities Work as part of the Pharmacy team, providing an effective pharmacy service in the dispensary, stores and at ward level. Carry out stock control and inventory tasks. Act as an Accredited Checking Technician and Medicine Management Technician, completing clinical checks and counselling patients. Support the multidisciplinary team in medicines optimisation. Receive on‑the‑job training and work towards further accreditation. Person Specification Experience Essential criteria: Post‑qualification pharmacy experience in an acute UK hospital, community pharmacy, CCG, GP practice or HMP. Experience of stock control. Desirable criteria: Experience of leading or supervising a team. Experience of undertaking audit or project work. Education, Qualifications & Training Essential criteria: Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician through membership with the General Pharmaceutical Council. NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, SCOTVEC or equivalent. Accredited Checking Technician status or willingness to work towards it.
