Job Description As a Collection and Delivery Driver you are the face of DPD, ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable and efficient delivery service. Serve as the first point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service when collecting or delivering parcels Start each shift at the depot, loading parcels onto a 3.5‑tonne van efficiently Follow a daily delivery schedule and manage your route to ensure timely collections and deliveries Operate and maintain the 3.5‑tonne van safely, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies Accurately scan and record parcel information using handheld devices Collect signatures and other proof of delivery from customers Report any delivery issues, vehicle problems or customer concerns promptly to your supervisor Maintain a clean and organised van, conduct daily vehicle checks and report maintenance needs Adapt to changing weather conditions and adjust delivery approach accordingly Collaborate with depot staff and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and efficient parcel sorting Wear the provided uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on duty Demonstrate DPD DNA values of Honesty, Respect, Passion, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability Qualifications Full UK driving licence with 12+ months of regular driving experience Recognise the value of providing great customer service Work to deadlines, be flexible and always go above and beyond Friendly, approachable, positive, resourceful and professional Ability to multi‑task and problem‑solve Lift, load and carry parcels up to 25 kg / 30 kg Excellent time‑management and organisational skills Good physical fitness to meet role demands Work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills with handheld device usage Comfortable working in diverse weather conditions Good knowledge of local roads and geography Benefits Holiday trading Enhanced maternity and paternity package Free life assurance of 4 × salary on joining the pension scheme Unum Help@Hand – health and wellbeing services for you and eligible family members Health Kiosks visiting every location Vitality at Work Free on‑site parking Discounted shopping from hundreds of retailers (up to 5 % off supermarket shopping) Milestone days off to celebrate with family and friends Free eye tests and support with the cost of glasses for screen‑based roles Seniority level Not Applicable Employment type Full‑time Job function Distribution Industries Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage Location Sheffield, England, United Kingdom #J-18808-Ljbffr
