Boathouse Operative

Are you practical, hands-on and passionate about sport? We're looking for a Boathouse Operative to help deliver an outstanding rowing experience for students across three Harpur Trust Senior Schools. You'll be part of a dynamic team supporting young athletes, working in a unique riverside environment, and playing a key role in competitive rowing success. What you’ll do: Maintain and refurbish boats and equipment to the highest standard Keep the boathouse safe, tidy and organized Prepare boats for competitions and tow trailers to events (national and occasional international) Support crews and coaches at regattas Promote a strong safety culture and safeguarding standards Clean driving licence with D1 and B+E categories Practical experience in repair and maintenance Flexible, proactive team player with great interpersonal skills This role is 40 hours per week, over a rolling shift pattern including regular weekend working as the post holder will be required to work as necessary to complete the job (subject to the Working Time Regulations 1998).
