Teacher - Alternative Provision (SEMH/SEND)

Location: Sandwell
Contract Type: Term-time, Permanent, Full-time (Monday-Friday)
Start Date: December 2025
Daily Rate: £170 - £250 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About us

A new alternative provision for secondary-aged students (11-16) with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and/or experiences of trauma.

Our mission is to create a safe, therapeutic and aspirational environment where every student is supported to re-engage with learning, rebuild trust, and thrive socially, emotionally and academically.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher to join our founding team and drive high-quality teaching and learning across our new provision. You will model best practice, support colleagues, and help shape a curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our learners.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support academic and emotional development.

Support with curriculum design, assessment, and progress tracking in a new school environment.

Implement trauma-informed and restorative approaches to behaviour and learning.

Collaborate with the SENCO, therapists, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.

Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.

About You

QTS/QTLS with experience in SEMH, SEND, or alternative provision settings.

Skilled in adaptive teaching and relational behaviour support.

Knowledge of therapeutic approaches (e.g. PACE, Zones of Regulation) desirable.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Passionate about equity, inclusion and student voice.

Assessor/IQA qualifications desirable - salary will reflect additional qualifications.
