Leatherhead, United Kingdom MENZIES LLP Full time

As a member of the accounts team, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, advisory-led services to clients. You'll be responsible for preparing more complex company accounts and consolidated financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, and occasionally IFRS. Your work will include producing detailed reports and assignments, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You'll also support the audit team on an ad-hoc basis, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing environment. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of more challenging assignments, develop your technical expertise, and begin to adopt a Brighter Thinking approach - bringing an advisory mindset to client interactions. You'll also be involved in mentoring junior trainees, helping to shape the next generation of talent within the firm. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is currently studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CA qualification. You should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, experience preparing accounts under UK GAAP, and ideally some exposure to IFRS and consolidated accounts. Familiarity with Caseware is a plus, though not essential. You'll need to be a confident communicator, capable of building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. We value individuals who take responsibility for their work, meet deadlines reliably, and are eager to support and develop others. Strong Excel and Word skills are expected, along with a willingness to continuously improve and contribute to the firm's growth. We are seeking an accounts senior to join our accounts team, initially in Leatherhead but subsequently to join our brand new office in Gatwick, Crawley in early 2026. Due to high growth at Menzies we're opening a new office in Gatwick, Crawley in early 2026, right in the heart of the Gatwick Diamond. It's a fresh, modern space designed to support flexible, collaborative working, with good transport links and plenty of local amenities nearby. As we continue to grow, it's a great time to be part of our team in one of the South East's most connected and vibrant areas. Why Menzies? At Menzies, our culture is our cornerstone. We blend technical excellence with genuine care for our people and clients. With 750 colleagues in the UK, we've built a culture based on shared values and mutual respect. Here's why you'll love working with us: People First: Our work-life balance isn't just talk. From agile working to generous leave, we create space for what matters to you. Work with Inspiring Clients: From multinational groups to large corporates across diverse industries, no two days are the same. Collaborate Across Borders: Working with our network HLB International to be part of a team that thrives on knowledge-sharing and supporting businesses with global ambitions. Innovate with Purpose: We're always looking for better ways to work-leveraging tech, simplifying complexities, and delivering value. Empathy at Our Core: We don't just serve our clients; we build trusted relationships that stand the test of time. At Menzies, we know that success starts with our people. That's why we offer: Career Development: From learning opportunities to career coaching, we'll help you achieve your goals. Competitive Benefits: Private medical cover, pension matching, and enhanced parental leave, to name a few. Flexibility That Works for You: Agile working is embedded in our culture.
