Tax Manager / Tax Senior Stockport Up to £55,000 Overview Butler Rose are pleased to be recruiting for a Tax Manager / Tax Senior based in Stockport with a well-established accountancy practice that provides personal and corporate tax, audit, and advisory services to a wide range of clients. This full‑position offers an exciting opportunity to work on varied client matters while developing your career in a supportive and professional environment. Duties Prepare and review personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations. Prepare and review corporation tax returns and associated computations, providing accurate and timely submissions. Provide technical advice and guidance on routine tax matters to clients and colleagues. Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, acting as their first point of contact for tax related queries. Identify opportunities for tax planning and advisory work, supporting clients in achieving efficient tax outcomes. Work closely with other teams within the practice to ensure coordinated delivery of services. Keep up to date with UK tax legislation, ensuring clients are informed of any relevant changes. Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance and training as required. Participate in business development initiatives and assist with marketing or client engagement events when needed. What we're looking for Strong experience in personal tax compliance. Experience in corporation tax compliance. Recent experience working in a UK practice environment. Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with tax software and Microsoft Office. Experience in tax planning is desirable but not essential.
