What You’ll Do: As an Assistant Graphic Designer within Primark’s Licensing Team, you will play a key role in developing and delivering innovative, commercially successful licensed product ranges across multiple categories. Supporting the License Designer you will work in partnership with internal buying and design teams, external licensors and brands ensuring you take ownership of design projects, ensuring that all creative outputs are trend‑led, authentic to the brand and delivered on time. This role requires both creative flair and strong commercial awareness to bring global licenses and brands to life for Primark’s customer. Day‑to‑day responsibilities Support the License Designer in the creation and development of licensed product graphics, across multiple License IPs and sports brands. Assist in translating seasonal trends into commercially viable licensed product ranges in line with Primark’s brand strategy and customer profile. Contribute to the management of design projects from concept through to licensor approval, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met. Work closely with licensors e.g. Netflix, Disney, Warner Bros, Universal and key music partners to prepare and submit artwork for approval, respond to feedback, and maintain strong working relationships. Prepare and support the delivery of key presentations for twice a season. Research and share cultural, fashion, and retail trends to support the identification of new opportunities for licensed ranges. Help maintain and update Primark’s licensed design library, ensuring assets, approvals, and guidelines are organised and accessible. What You’ll Bring Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: Degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Illustration, or related field. 2–3 years’ professional experience in a graphic design role, ideally within retail, licensing, or fashion product development. Demonstrated experience of working directly with licensors and managing approvals. Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Excellent eye for typography, layout, and colour with a solid understanding of fashion trends. Commercially astute with strong awareness of the Primark customer and retail market. Ready?
