Part time Afternoon Cleaner – Equans UK & Ireland Location: Noel Baker Academy, DE24 0BR. This is a permanent, part‑time role working 15 hours per week over a 49‑week contract (39 weeks). Shift pattern: Monday‑Friday 15:30‑18:30. The schedule is subject to a 4‑week holiday period and no holidays during term time or deep‑clean periods (deep cleans 4 weeks a year: February, April, August). Salary: £8,974.35 per annum plus benefits package. What You Will Deliver Make sure all working areas are kept to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety, and presentation. Report to the Caretaker any maintenance issues that may arise. Work well under pressure, problem‑solve, and use initiative when necessary. Follow all company systems, processes and site rules. Maintain a smart appearance and wear the company uniform at all times. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH laws and company policies. Follow instructions for the maintenance, cleaning and storage of equipment. Keep cupboards clean and locked when not in use. Be proactive and creative in improving best working practices within company safety procedures. Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Caretaker. Deal with individual customer requests politely and professionally to exceed expectations. Enhanced DBS clearance is required; the ability to pass is essential. Good time‑keeping and attendance record. An outgoing personality with strong customer‑service focus. Proven experience delivering high‑quality service with an eye for detail and the ability to communicate expectations to the team. BICS qualified or similar is desirable.
