OverviewNightshift Manufacturing Operator at IPS CorporationLocation: Gateshead, England, United Kingdom (and related postings listed on the job page).Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo work as a team member under the supervision of a team leader or manager, carrying out tasks as required in compliance with IPS Adhesives EHS and Quality Standards.Assessing tasks for risks and implementing control measuresStaging materials prior to batch productionChecking Raw Material approval / shelf life status prior to useAccurately weighing Raw Materials and MixturesFollowing standard process instructions to minimize batch varianceAccurately completing all relevant paperworkFeeding batches of raw materials into production machineryOperating production line equipment, for example, a high-speed disperserMonitoring the production processFinishing products, for example, applying labels and packing goods ready for dispatchStoring goods and raw materials in the yard or warehouseUsing lifting equipment and forklift trucksCleaning and maintaining work areas, machinery and equipmentReporting any problems during the shift to the Lead Operators including any maintenance issuesEducation and/or Work Experience RequirementsGood practical skillsThe ability to work quickly and methodicallyGood team working skillsThe ability to follow instructionsAn awareness of environment, health and safety issuesA willingness to work flexiblyGood verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customersGood computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitudeAbility to work independently and to carry out batch processing to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesNo specific knowledge and experience is required but, if not already possessed, forklift truck counterbalance and reach licenses must be achieved within, ideally, twelve months of commencement, and a nationally recognized qualification (e.g. Level 1/2 in Performing Manufacturing Operations or Level 2 Certificate in Manufacturing Practices) is desirableSkillsAbility to work under pressureAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with IPS and local standards, including meeting quality, productivity and safety standardsA good level of fitnessKey Performance IndicatorsRight First Time Performance (RFT)On Time In Full Performance (OTIF)Company Benefits15% Nightshift premiumSalary commensurate with experiencePension schemeHealthcare cash planOpportunities for personal development and progressionSeniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustries #J-18808-Ljbffr
