As a Vehicle and Plant Technician, you maintain our extensive and diverse fleet, including essential vehicle maintenance for Highways, street lighting, travel care and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. Your timely and cost‑effective repairs keep Lancashire's front‑line services moving efficiently, ensuring communities remain safe and connected. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out vehicle inspections and preparations for MOT testing. Repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and plant. Conducting diagnostic fault finding using a range of up‑to‑date tools & equipment. What We’re Looking For NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline and full UK category B driving licence. Beneficial if you have a heavy vehicle maintenance qualification and a category C+E or D+E driving licence. Experience repairing and maintaining vehicles including electrical and mechanical diagnostics. Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor apprentices and junior team members.
