Interim Headteacher

Interim Headteacher (Multi‑Site) – Aspris Overview Aspris is recruiting an Interim Headteacher to oversee its Leicestershire‑based schools across three sites. The role is a fixed‑term, 12‑month contract commencing in January 2026. You will lead the development and implementation of the curriculum and education programmes, champion Aspris values, and maintain a positive, enthusiastic learning environment for pupils and colleagues. Responsibilities Lead and manage the strategic direction of the school's curriculum and educational programmes. Inspire and maintain exceptional performance from staff and pupils. Ensure continuous improvement and champion Aspris values. Oversee inspection processes and maintain high standards of staff and resource management. Communicate effectively with parents, carers and external stakeholders. Apply safeguarding best practice and manage DBS and reference checks for staff. Qualifications & Experience Extensive senior leadership experience within a special school setting for young people with autism and SEMH needs. Strong resilience, organisational, communication and attentiveness skills. Demonstrated ability to build high‑performing teams and manage complex inspections. References covering the last three years from roles involving children or vulnerable adults.
