The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for literature and language, excellent subject knowledge, and the leadership skills to further develop and promote English across all Key Stages. The Role Lead and manage the English department, overseeing curriculum development, assessment, and teaching standards. Collaborate with colleagues across the school to promote cross‑curricular learning and enrichment activities. Take an active role in the broader life of the school, contributing to co‑curricular opportunities and school events. Person Specification A degree in English or a related subject and QTS (or equivalent). Significant teaching experience, including at GCSE and A‑Level. Previous experience of leadership or departmental responsibility is desirable but not essential. An innovative, enthusiastic, and approachable professional, committed to promoting high standards and student wellbeing.
