The Role As a Multiskilled Shift Engineer with an electrical bias, you will be responsible for the pro‑active and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair of a wide range of building services and critical plant equipment on a highly regulated pharmaceutical site. Working as part of a dedicated shift team, you will ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the site, adhering to strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance & Fault Finding: Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and fault diagnosis on electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, system panels, Building management systems. Mechanical Maintenance: Carrying out maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems such as HVAC, pumps, motors, compressed air systems, and water treatment plant. Building Services: Maintaining and troubleshooting general building services including plumbing, drainage, and building systems. Compliance & Documentation: Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, site procedures, and safety standards; maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing necessary documentation. Shift Operations: Working as part of a shift team, responding to breakdowns and ensuring continuity of operations across the site. Communication: Effectively communicating with the site team, client representatives, and other stakeholders regarding maintenance activities and site issues. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and reliability of plant and equipment. Health & Safety: Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment. Escalation: Identifying and escalating complex issues to specialist teams or management as required. About You Essential Recognised electrical apprenticeship or relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2365, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation). Proven experience as a Multiskilled Shift Engineer or Electrical Maintenance Engineer within a commercial or industrial environment. Strong electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic skills. Good understanding of mechanical systems and building services. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive and can‑do attitude with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail. Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern (days and nights). Desirable Experience working within a pharmaceutical or other highly regulated environment (e.g., food, healthcare). Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS). 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations. First Aid qualification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
