United Kingdom - London Lead Product Manager We are seeking a Lead Product Manager to play a central role in the AI Customer Experience Frontier programme – an ambitious initiative shaping the future of how citizens interact with government services. This role also supports the wider AI Adoption Programme, ensuring new technologies are piloted and scaled safely, securely, and responsibly across departments. Key Opportunities Lead and shape a high-impact, cross-government AI customer experience project. Work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary agile environment with design, technology and policy experts. Apply cutting‑edge service design and AI innovation at scale. Make a direct impact on millions of citizens by improving accessibility, inclusion and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities As Lead Product Manager, you will: Define and own the vision, proposition and roadmap for high-volume digital products. Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary product teams. Partner with delivery managers to determine skills and resources needed to deliver outcomes. Manage product development post-launch, ensuring products remain robust, secure and continuously improved. Lead teams in researching and responding to user needs, making informed prioritisation decisions. Build strong relationships with government stakeholders, suppliers and delivery partners. Align product development with wider GDS and government programmes. Stay up to date with advances in digital, cloud technologies and generative AI to inform strategy. Mentor and coach product managers, supporting career development and capability growth across teams. Essential Experience & Skills Proven track record product managing high-volume digital products from discovery to live service. Experience in iterative, agile delivery with multidisciplinary teams. Strong understanding of operational maturity and maintaining reliable, user-centred products. Excellent communication skills, able to engage and influence stakeholders at senior levels. Experience working in complex technology environments, with awareness of interactions across systems and services. Knowledge of cloud-based software delivery (high-level). Ability to develop and secure support for product and commercial strategies. Hands‑on experience in product iteration and continuous improvement. Experience working with, or within, public sector organisations including cross-government collaboration. Demonstrated ability to coach and manage product managers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
