MWH Treatment are looking for Plant operators for Oswestry on the United Utilities on a contract basis.You will report directly to the Lead Site Supervisor and your role will carry out site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality product to the client.ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for process monitoring of the new plantDaily monitoring of the process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals)Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch (inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc)Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments, ordering of reagentsAdjustment of process parameters to maintain performanceReporting to Advance Plus process commissioning engineerConsultation with client, suppliers and Advance Plus process team>Regular meetings with UU re progress, performance, etcDaily logsOrdering of chemicals as required (including ferric, caustic, poly, reagents, cuvettes for sampling analyses)Taking deliveries of chemicalsAssisting Advance Plus team with shutdowns, access, etcQualificationsEssential: You will be a skilled and experienced plant operator.
