NHS Locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine 1 day ago – Be among the first 25 applicants Location: King’s Lynn, England, United Kingdom To ensure the continued delivery of high‑quality care to patients within the trust and to contribute to the further development of the Emergency Medicine service. To provide support and leadership to the Emergency Department nursing and medical staff. Responsibilities Provide senior clinician services to the Emergency Department as per job plan or as agreed within the Trust, and as required when on call. Provide clinical leadership to the department when undertaking clinical care, taking lead clinical responsibility as rostered on a day‑to‑day basis. Facilitate safe and effective clinical care. Teach and train junior staff, medical students and other healthcare professionals. Act as clinical/educational supervisor to locally employed doctors and doctors in training programmes of a variety of grades and experience as appropriate. Participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit. Offer leadership and support for the effective development of the service. Ensure active participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Further develop clinical protocols, guidelines, and concise care bundles. Carry out responsibilities with due regard to the Trust’s Equal Opportunities Policy. Service Improvement Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) Cost Improvement Programme (CIP) Implement evidence‑based new ways of working when necessary.
