If so, we want to hear from you At Gallagher Re, we’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced QA Engineer to join our innovative technology division. In this pivotal role, you’ll be a key player in our QA team and wider delivery function, helping us deliver cutting-edge insurance products and systems that meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This will be a remote/homebased role so you can be based anywhere in tthe UK. Our only requirements are for you to be flexible to travel to our offices when required and to attend our team touchdown days which happen in our London Headquaters once a quarter. How you'll make an impact As a QA Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our systems and products are built to perform. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and executing comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our insurance products and systems. Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-leading testing tools and frameworks like Selenium. Conducting thorough functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to identify and address potential issues. Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve them. Analysing test results and providing detailed reports on software quality and test execution. Collaborating with development, product management, and other teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. Assisting in the creation and ongoing review of KPIs, SLAs, and OKRs related to QA activities within your team. Staying ahead of the curve by keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging QA technologies. About You We’re seeking a QA Engineer who brings a strong technical background, a passion for quality, and a collaborative mindset. Here’s what we’re looking for: Proven experience in QA engineering within a .NET + Azure-based development environment. Hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium. A track record of contributing to and enhancing QA strategies, with the ability to support the team in adhering to best practices. Experience mentoring and upskilling junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and learning. A collaborative approach, with experience working closely with developers as part of a single delivery team. Strong understanding of the Azure platform and the testing and monitoring technologies it supports. Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (ideally Azure DevOps) and a solid related methodologies. Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies across web, mobile, and data applications. Proficiency in Design patterns, Git version control, Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience working with both offshore and onshore development teams.
