Are you passionate about biochemical &biophysical science, and excited by the idea of contributing to life-changing drug discovery?

A global pharmaceutical company is looking for a talented Research Scientist to join their in vitro pharmacology department in Slough.

In this role, you’ll help drive the discovery of new small molecule therapies by applying your expertise in protein binding assays and compound screening technologies such as SPR and FRET. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced scientists, generate high-quality data, and help turn scientific insights into real therapeutic advances.

What you’ll be doing:

* Develop and run biophysical and biochemical assays (SPR, FRET) for hit ID and lead optimisation

* Use high-throughput liquid handling systems and analytical tools (e.g. microplate readers)

* Analyse and present data to inform project decisions

* Work within a cross-functional, collaborative environment where innovation thrives

What we’re looking for:

* Degree (BSc/MSc) in Biophysics, Biochemistry or related discipline plus at least 3 years industry or post-grad experience

* Hands-on experience with FRET and/or SPR

* Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail
