We're recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified Heavy Mechanic at Aberdeen Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £50,000 per annum including overtime. Working Hours: Full time - 39.5 hours per week. Shift pattern Shift 1 – Early Shift, 06:00 – 14:30 Shift 2 – Rotational Shift (Week 1 06:00 – 14:30, Week 2 13:00 – 21:30) with an additional weekly shift allowance of £87.58 for the shift ending at 21:30 Shift 3 – Late Shift, 13:00 – 21:30 with an additional weekly shift allowance of £87.58 You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays, with a weekday day off. A bit about the role With a fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel, electric, LCVs and HGVs, maintaining our vehicles is a true team effort. We're investing in modernising our fleet, giving you the opportunity to work on a variety of makes and models. Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment. Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair of light and heavy goods vehicles. Have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops. A bit about you Qualified mechanic: Fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle or equivalent) with your own toolkit for standard repairs. Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, e.g. LCV / HGV. Valid UK driving licence: Full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience. High working standards: Take pride in your work and ensure the job is done effectively.
