About the School Prince William School is located in Oundle, within easy commuting distance of Peterborough, Stamford, Kettering, Wellingborough, and Corby. This is an exciting time for the school as examination results have seen rapid improvement and the school is expanding under the leadership of a new Headteacher. We are really proud of our 2024 exam results, with an estimate progress 8 score of 0.41 for Key Stage 4. General Roles and Responsibilities Working under the direction of the SENDCo and Student Mental Health Practitioner regarding the support needed for students who face social, emotional and mental health challenges. Liaising with the pastoral team and parents/carers as necessary about individual students needing additional emotional support and signposting students and families to support through agencies such as MHST, Souster Youth, Service Six, and CHAT counselling services. Maintaining a caseload of student files of students who receive SEMH interventions or access the Bridge. Supporting parents/carers requesting help with managing their children at home as required and facilitating/overseeing Early Help Assessments with families. Deputising for the Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner in her absence. Attending daily briefings and other meetings as required for the purposes of sharing information about students. Break and lunchtime duties as required. Knowing and implementing the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding policies and procedures, responding to any Child Protection concerns quickly and appropriately.
