Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:

Classroom Management: Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

Behavioural Support: Uphold school behaviour policies, encouraging respect and focus in the classroom.

Student Engagement: Motivate and support students to participate fully in lessons and achieve their potential.

Adaptability: Step into different subject areas and year groups, providing flexible and reliable support.

Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students by following school safeguarding policies.

Cover Supervisor Requirements:

Essential:

Experience working with children or young people in a school or educational setting.

Strong classroom presence and confidence in managing groups of students.

A clear or obtainable DBS check.

Desirable:

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.

A strong interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education.

Experience supporting students with SEN or additional needs.
