We are seeking a professional, detail‑oriented Residential Property Inspector to carry out inspections, check‑ins, check‑outs, and general property visits across our residential portfolio around South London. The ideal candidate will hold a valid drivers licence, have strong communication skills, be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and own a reliable vehicle. A company fuel card will be provided for work‑related travel. Key Responsibilities Conduct residential check‑in inspections, ensuring the property is ready for occupancy and accurately documenting its condition. Perform check‑out inspections on vacant properties, identifying any issues or damages and reporting these promptly to the Property Management team. Carry out mid‑term and general inspections to assess property condition, safety, and maintenance needs. Complete ad hoc property visits as required, including welfare checks, occupancy checks and follow‑up visits. Create clear, detailed, and timely inspection reports supported by photographs and accurate notes using our inventory software. Handle property keys, ensuring secure management, tracking, and return procedures. Liaise effectively with the internal Property Management team regarding findings, concerns, and required actions. Undertake office‑based administrative tasks, including updating records, processing inspection data, and responding to internal communications. Maintain a professional and respectful approach when interacting with tenants, landlords, contractors, and colleagues. Check‑in new clients to properties and, when required, carry out out‑of‑hours check‑ins for new clients. Qualifications & Requirements Prior experience in residential inspections, lettings, property management, or a related field is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify issues accurately. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with digital inspection/reporting tools. Own reliable vehicle; company fuel card provided for work travel. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time independently.
