OverviewOperation ManagerAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a high-performing energy recovery facility in the Birmingham area. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth safe and efficient operation of the plant overseeing teams involved in production logistics and maintenance.Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards and drive performance improvement across the absence of the Plant and Maintenance Managers you’ll take full responsibility for all plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the operations team promoting a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.Oversee daily plant performance ensuring targets for efficiency, output and cost are achieved.Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, environmental permits and company standards.Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to enhance plant reliability and availability.Manage budgets, reporting and operational KPIs driving consistent performance improvement.What you’ll needProven leadership in a process-driven environment (power, waste or heavy industry).Strong understanding of high-pressure systems, boilers or energy conversion processes.Experience managing operational KPIs, budgets and compliance standards.Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical or process) with NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred.Excellent communication, problem-solving and team development skills.What’s on OfferCompetitive salary of depending on experience.Strong focus on professional development and trainingOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in a sustainable energy operationSupportive team culture with a commitment to safety and excellenceIf you’re a confident leader with experience in operational management and a passion for continuous improvement in sustainable energy this could be the ideal next step in your career.Required ExperienceManagerKey SkillsSix SigmaLeanManagement ExperienceProcess ImprovementMicrosoft OutlookAnalysis SkillsWarehouse Management SystemOperations ManagementKaizenLeadership ExperienceSupervising ExperienceRetail ManagementEmployment Type : Full TimeExperience : yearsVacancy : 1Salary : 55000 - 62000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
