Key Responsibilities Provide individualised support to pupils with PMLD Assist with tailored learning activities and sensory-based experiences Support pupils with physical care needs, including mobility, feeding, and personal care Build trusting, positive relationships to help pupils feel safe and confident by recognising their preferences and communicating with them Provide support to pupils with speech & language needs, or emotional/behavioural challenges Help maintain a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment We’re Looking For Someone Who… Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with complex needs Has experience working with pupils with PMLD or severe/complex needs (Experience in PMLD, SLD, or complex care settings) Is adaptable, intuitive, and calm under pressure Communicates clearly with staff, pupils, and professionals Enjoys working as part of a strong, supportive team Has previous training in manual handling, hoisting, or medical needs Has knowledge of sensory processing, communication aids, or AAC If you have previous experience caring for someone, working as a support worker, or you have studied health and social care and are looking for a new, rewarding role then we would love to hear from you.
