Shift Leader (Care) – Nights, Weekends at Friends of the Elderly Pay range Base pay range: Contract: Full Time (36 hours per week). Working Pattern: Nights and Weekends. Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity that has been supporting older people for over 120 years. We provide care home and day care services, and grants for older people in financial difficulty. With a person‑focused approach to care, our Malvern homes – Davenham, Bradbury Court and Perrins House – specialise in dementia, residential and nursing care. As a Shift Leader you will be responsible for delivering person‑centred care unique to each individual, supporting and enabling residents to maintain key skills, personal interests, independence, choice and dignity so they can lead fulfilled lives. You will make sure residents are safe and comfortable. You will act as a champion for their safety and dignity. You will lead the team in providing quality, individualised care in line with procedures and policies. You will maintain clear, accurate records. You will follow procedures for ordering, administering and dispensing medication. You will conduct supervisions and appraisals with staff and promote their development. You will maintain a safe, clean workplace and follow infection control protocols. Work shift patterns include evenings, weekends, and some unsociable hours. Qualifications & Experience You must have a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care. A Level 3 Diploma or higher is desirable. You must have experience in a similar role, previously leading a team, and administering medication. Other required skills: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, digital and number skills, problem‑solving ability, adaptability, and the capacity to recognise and report safeguarding issues.
