Editors and content designers for community‑led environmental charity East London Waterworks Park is looking for editors and content designers to contribute to public engagement content creating our community‑owned park with free access natural swimming ponds. Contribute to the creation of a new biodiverse community‑owned park with free access natural swimming ponds. Your strategic content creation will be instrumental in fostering a strong connection between our community, the park, and its biodiversity. What are we looking for? Editorial Vision & Strategy – Guiding the creation of content that amplifies community voices, celebrates local environmental initiatives, and inspires actionable engagement with green spaces and sustainability efforts. Strong Editing & Proofreading Skills – Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Experience editing diverse content formats. Content Design & Development – Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content appropriate for diverse audiences. Experience adapting content for various platforms. Strong storytelling and narrative skills. Visual Communication – Understanding of visual hierarchy and ability to use images and graphics effectively. Basic knowledge of design principles and layout. Community Engagement Focus – Interest in and understanding of community‑led projects. Ability to adapt content to resonate with local community needs and interests. Desirable Skills & Experience – Experience with content management systems. Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva). Interest in environmental sustainability and urban green spaces. Volunteer experience with community organisations. Key Qualities – Creative, imaginative, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative, passionate about community engagement and environmental sustainability, proactive and self‑motivated. What will you be doing? We are looking for writers, editors and content designers to participate in our community‑led working group growing support for the project through public engagement work. There is opportunity to lead engagement projects exploring how architects, ecologists, community researchers, political campaigners, fundraisers and communications professionals come together to create community infrastructure. Optional projects across communications: content creation, social media, PR, newsletters, film, podcasts, long‑form video content or any other channels of interest, and the possibility to facilitate the strategic direction of the working group. The Comms Circle meets fortnightly on a Tuesday evening on Google Meet and volunteers complete agreed tasks remotely. #J-18808-Ljbffr
