Senior Employee Relations Specialist (Policy and Contract) Full‑time or part‑time (minimum 30 hours per week) – £60,000+ annual salary, depending on experience. Hybrid role based in England – South East, mainly working from home with occasional travel for meetings. We act as in‑house HR teams or extensions of existing people teams, providing trusted support and expertise. What you’ll be doing Deliver a top‑quality employee relations (ER) service with focus on policies, employment contracts, and complex ER & change work. Draft, review and update policies, handbooks and employment contracts. Lead complex, high‑risk ER cases – disciplinaries, grievances, whistleblowing, harassment. Advise on restructures, redundancies, acquisitions and consultation processes. Balance compliance with commercial sense when making people decisions. Support colleagues by quality‑checking policies and documentation. Build trusted relationships with clients through timely, practical advice. Share expertise via training, toolkits and coaching. About you Experienced in leading and advising on complex ER cases. Skilled at drafting, reviewing and implementing policies, handbooks and contracts. Confident supporting organisational change projects such as restructures and redundancies. Ability to coach and support others on ER best practice and policy interpretation. Clear, engaging communicator – written and verbal. Highly organised, detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple priorities. Commercially minded, balancing compliance with practical advice. Tech‑savvy and comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital systems. Happy to travel occasionally; holds a full UK driving licence. CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent employment law qualification) is a bonus, as is experience in consultancy.
