Are you an experienced Cancer Haematology Nurse looking for your next step?
We’re seeking a dedicated Senior Staff Nurse to join our expert Cancer Nursing Team at The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Nurse – or a Band 5 Nurse with consolidated haematology cancer nursing experience – to take the next step in their career. Haematology experience is essential, and you must be a SACT-approved chemotherapy giver.
Why join us?
The Harborne Hospital is HCA Healthcare UK’s 4th NHS Joint Venture – a purpose-built, state-of-the-art, 50-bed hospital designed with patients and staff in mind. As part of the UK’s leading independent healthcare provider, we deliver complex care across multiple specialties, including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery.
In this role, you’ll:
* Work within a highly skilled haematology nursing team, providing specialist cancer care.
* Deliver, assess, and evaluate personalised treatment plans.
* Be an advocate for patients and their families, supporting them medically, physically, and emotionally throughout their cancer journey.
* Gain greater autonomy – our nurse-led clinical model means you’ll play a key role in assessment and treatment decisions.
What we offer you:
* The chance to be at the forefront of cancer care, working with cutting-edge treatments not yet available on the NHS.
* Clear development pathways, with support into Sister or Matron roles.
* Access to funded courses and qualifications, including Masters-level education.
* Ongoing training and development through regular teaching sessions and external experts.
* A culture that prioritises your wellbeing, work-life balance, and professional growth.
At HCA UK, we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the highest standards of care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. And we care about providing the conditions you need to thrive
What you’ll bring:
* A current NMC Nurse registration
* Experience in Chemotherapy administration
* Post registration experience within a haematology setting is essential
