We are looking for experienced midwives to join our expanding maternity family. Our midwives strive to provide holistic care for all and pride ourselves on expertise, knowledge and the delivery of evidence based, personalised midwifery care. As a Band 6 Midwife at Birmingham Women's Hospital you will have the opportunity to be part of a flexible rotation pattern working in Maternity Triage, it will involve a rotation to Delivery Suite and can also include our inpatient wards if requested too. The amount of time in each area can be tailored to you. We are also able to support newly qualified midwives as part of our Preceptorship Programme if you have a current NMC pin. In addition, we have an opportunity to include our triage team as part of the rotation if this is something you would like to consider. Person Specification QUALIFICATIONS Registered Midwife BSc or equivalent degree Evidence of professional progression UK NMC Midwife registration KNOWLEDGE & NATURE OF EXPERIENCE Evidence of completion of band 5 preceptorship programme IV drug administration Epidural Management CTG interpretation Cannulation and suturing knowledge and skills PROFESSIONAL / MANAGERIAL / SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE Evidence of good written and oral communication skills Demonstrates understanding of the importance of supportive working in a team.
