Information Technology Risk Specialist Location: London Corporate Title: AVP The role is within the 2nd Line of Defence (LoD) Information Technology (IT) Risk Team based in London and part of global team of 12 with staff in Singapore, Mumbai, Frankfurt, Milan, London, Jacksonville and New York. The team is part of the wider Information Security & Technology Risk Team of 37. The team monitors IT Risks across the Group within all Divisions & Regions and provides Senior Management and Regulators with an independent assessment of the Information Technology Risks. The role will provide support on various topics including risk assessments, targeted reviews, incidents root cause thematic, new business product assessments, transformation risk assessments, regulatory exams/enquires, emerging risk analysis. You can expect: Hybrid Working Competitive salary and non-contributory pension 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days Life Assurance and Private Healthcare for you and your family A range of flexible benefits including Retail Discounts, a Bike4Work scheme and Gym benefits The opportunity to support a wide ranging CSR programme + 2 days’ volunteering leave per year Your key responsibilities Monitoring of a specific business divisions’ IT Risk Profile including risk appetite breaches, remediation including Risk and Control assessment review Performing and presenting results of targeted analysis on key IT Risks Inputting into the maturing of the IT Risk Framework, Policies and Control Objectives Monitoring the impact to the IT Risk Profile of major bank-wide IT transformations e.g. Google Cloud, Digitalization, Robotics Performing assessment of operating/design effectiveness of key controls such as SDLC, Resilience Architecture, Auto Deployments Exploring the impact of emerging IT risks Providing support to UKI/European Central Bank based regulatory enquiries Your skills and experience A good understanding of Information Technology and how its used within financial services. Experience working in a Bank within either IT 1st Line of Defence or IT Risk 2nd Line of Defence An understanding of IT Risk Frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL and key IT Regulatory laws such as DORA, EBA guidelines Experience of working with end user IT systems such as MS 365 apps, further experience of reporting/business intelligence systems such as Tableau, Power BI is an advantage Understanding of Operational Risk Management is an advantageStrong analytical and communication skills.
