Supported by some of the most well-respected VC firms, we aim to become the go-to mobile security solution for individuals who want to know they can trust their devices with their most sensitive information – without sacrificing privacy.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering organization during a period of rapid growth and enterprise adoption.Reporting directly to the CTO, this individual will oversee our ETL, Mobile, and Platform engineering teams, ensuring that day-to-day operations, delivery velocity, and platform reliability meet the high expectations of enterprise customers.The Director of Engineering will bring a background in building scalable, secure platforms, ideally with prior experience in large enterprise or cybersecurity environments. This person will instill operational discipline, drive accountability through data, and ensure the engineering organization is aligned around measurable outcomes such as application performance, stability, error rates, and delivery quality.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Management: Directly manage the ETL, Mobile, and Platform team leads, providing mentorship, strategic direction, and consistent performance oversight.Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day engineering operations and ensure delivery on key metrics including uptime, performance, and error rates.Scalability & Enterprise Readiness: Drive the evolution of our architecture and development processes to meet enterprise scale, ensuring high availability, strong security posture, and predictable delivery cycles.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Research, Product, and Security teams to align engineering priorities with customer and organizational goals.Data-Driven Reporting: Define and report on engineering KPIs to leadership, including system reliability, incident response, and release performance.Platform Security & On-Prem Development: Collaborate with the CTO on platform security architecture and lead the continued development and support of our on-premise deployment offering.Process Transformation: Implement and refine engineering processes to increase delivery velocity while maintaining quality, security, and compliance.Talent Development: Recruit, coach, and grow high-performing engineering teams that balance innovation with operational discipline.Strategic GoalsThis role plays a critical part in driving iVerify’s broader Engineering and Research Transformation Plan, focused on evolving our structure, processes, and culture to meet the expectations of large enterprise customers.As Director of Engineering, you will lead with a growth mindset, scaling our teams and technology to support continued platform expansion, accelerate the delivery of customer-driven capabilities, and maintain the highest standards of availability, performance, and security.You will ensure the engineering organization operates with the discipline, maturity, and transparency required to earn the trust of enterprise customers, while preserving the speed, innovation, and agility that have been core to iVerify’s success to date.By investing in engineering capacity, improving operational rigor, and strengthening collaboration across teams, you will help position iVerify to confidently support strategic customers, capture new opportunities, and sustain long-term growth.Requirements10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership or management roles.Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.Track record of building and scaling enterprise-grade platforms with high availability, performance, and security requirements.Strong background in platform security and cloud/on-prem hybrid architectures.Experience managing and reporting on engineering KPIs - including uptime, latency, error rates, and development velocity.Deep understanding of software development processes (Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps) and modern tooling.Strong technical foundation in distributed systems, networking, and data pipelines.Experience collaborating with Product and Security teams to align technical priorities with customer outcomes.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.Nice-to-HavePrior experience working within the cybersecurity or endpoint security domain.Experience scaling infrastructure to meet enterprise or government customer requirements.Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and on-prem orchestration environments.Background in data pipeline management (ETL, data quality, observability).Experience managing teams responsible for mobile app development (iOS/Android) and backend APIs.Proven success driving process improvement and organizational transformation in a high-growth environment.CompensationOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and employment type. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position.
