Firmware (FPGA/SOC) Engineer

OverviewExpleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider with UK presence in 10 locations. We are seeking Firmware (FPGA/SOC) Design Engineers to provide design/verification services to our client at their site in Crawley. The successful candidates would ideally have a proven track record for delivering firmware for defence, related products. The role is expected to be Hybrid (3 days in the clients Crawley site) but there will be periods of time where at Customer sites and/or integration facilities.Typical activities expected are architecture, requirements specification, design, verification and validation. Work will be carried out in conjunction with systems, software and hardware engineers to develop electronic systems. Projects involve using the latest industry class development tools for FPGA and system on a chip hardware technology and work is carried out to a structured firmware design process.We are looking for energetic and driven engineers with broad expertise, however of particular interest would be candidates with (in order of priority) military, aerospace, marine or rail experience.This role represents a great opportunity to work on cutting edge technology projects, contributing to the security of the UK and our allies.
