Jark Cambridge are proud to partner with this multi-discipline organisation to support them on a Maintenance Worker opening. We are looking for a reliable, skilled, and proactive Maintenance Worker to join our team.
You will be responsible for ensuring our premises and equipment are kept in excellent working order, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding quickly to repair requests, and helping us provide a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for all.
This is a hands-on role that would suit someone practical, detail-oriented, and committed to doing quality work.
This role will be perfect for someone who is fairly new to the construction / maintenance industry who is looking to progress under fantastic structure and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance across multiple sites.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, breakdowns, and emergencies.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, decorating, and general repair tasks.
• Ensure all heating, ventilation, and lighting systems are operational.
• Conduct minor grounds and exterior maintenance, including painting and cleaning tasks.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including risk assessments and reporting hazards.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, tenants, or clients about works being undertaken.
Essential:
• Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, or facilities role.
• Strong practical skills – capable of carrying out basic repairs across multiple trades.
• Good knowledge of health & safety requirements.
• Problem-solving ability and willingness to take initiative.
• Reliable, punctual, and organised.
• Good communication skills and a helpful attitude.
