The core areas of the business are Asbestos Consultancy, Legionella Consultancy Services and Fire Consultancy Services, across all sectors including Construction, Local Government, MOD, Education, Social Housing, Logistics, Manufacturing and many more.We are now looking for 2 motivated individuals to join our team as Level 3 Asbestos Surveyor and Analyst Apprentices.The PackageStarting salary : £19,500 - £23,809 per year (dependent on age)Salary increases upon completion of PCERT qualificationsWorking hours : 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5pm25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays)Company vanEquipment and PPE providedPensionRegular training & CPD opportunitiesWhat will I be doing as an Asbestos Surveying and Analyst Apprentice?Life Environmental Services are pleased to be able to offer you the opportunity to both earn a salary and study towards a nationally recognised qualification through our Level 3 Asbestos Surveying and Analyst Apprenticeship.As an Asbestos Analyst & Surveyor Apprentice, you’ll be working out on-site, learning the ropes of both roles through a structured training and development programme. You\'ll support our experienced teams in a variety of environments—from homes and commercial properties to industrial sites.The successful candidate will have the chance to obtain BOHS P402, P403, and P404 qualifications, becoming a certified Asbestos Analyst and Surveyor.Asbestos AnalysisCarry out air quality and reassurance monitoringConduct fibre countingPerform four-stage clearance inspectionsUndertake personal and compliance air testingAccurately complete certificates and reportsAssist with asbestos removal project managementAsbestos SurveyingCollect and label bulk material samples safelyUndertake Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition SurveysComplete Priority Risk Assessments for clientsWork across a range of property types (domestic, commercial, industrial)Ensure sample handling and data uploading follows company proceduresWhat could the future look like?There’s no limit to what you can achieve while working with Life Environmental Services. We’re looking for someone who’s friendly, reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.Please note, due to the site-based nature of this position, you must be aged 20+, hold a clean UK Driving License and be willing to drive to different sites on a daily basis.Part of your role will also require occasional heavy lifting, working at heights and in confined spaces.QualificationsIt’s about enthusiasm, not school results. This can include theory training (for example, virtual lessons & online learning), alongside practical training (for example shadowing, mentoring, & time spent writing assignments. Together this will count towards a Level 3 Laboratory Technician apprenticeship. You’ll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro as well as an experienced mentor at Life Environmental Services who together, will make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits you’ll need to succeed in your career.Being an apprentice is hands-on, so you’ll get the chance to learn things you might otherwise not have experienced in a university or college environment.The best part? You’ll be earning a salary while you gain your qualifications, meaning no huge student loans to pay back at the end of the programmeEligibilityWhile we never want to hinder your job application process with obstacles, there are some minimum requirements you’ll need to meet in order to do an apprenticeship, these are rules set by the UK Government.As a training provider, we are committed to ensuring that our apprenticeship programs deliver significant new knowledge and skills.
