Permanent HSE, Quality & Compliance recruitment for UK renewable and grid infrastructure. About the Opportunity: A major engineering consultancy has secured a multi-year delivery & design framework with a UK Distribution Network Operator and is building a new Quality team to support substations, cable routes and overhead line projects across the region. We are recruiting both an experienced Quality Engineer and a developing Quality Coordinator to support site-based quality, safety and compliance activities. These roles offer long-term stability, varied work across the full distribution network (LV–132kV), and the chance to work closely with a leading DNO. Responsibilities: Quality Engineer (Senior): Carry out on-site inspections across substations, cables and OHL works Identify defects, non-compliance and safety issues Produce clear, structured quality reports Challenge contractors and ensure work meets DNO standards Support continuous improvement of build quality Work closely with DNO operational teams Quality Coordinator (Junior): Support the Quality Engineer with inspections and reporting Learn to identify quality issues with guidance Assist with audits and documentation Develop understanding of LV/HV equipment and DNO standards Progress into a full quality-focused role Requirements: Substation and/or distribution network experience (LV–HV) Background with DNOs, ICPs, IDNOs or their contractors Strong safety awareness and confidence on live operational sites Ability to recognise poor workmanship and quality issues Based in Yorkshire or the North East City & Guilds / BTEC / ONC / HNC/HND SSSTS Experience with DNO quality or compliance processes What’s on Offer: Long-term opportunity on a major 5-year framework Hands-on involvement across substations, cables and OHL Full induction and mentoring for junior candidates Fast interview process and quick decisions Clear progression into senior QA or engineering pathways How to Apply: If you have experience in distribution, substations, cables or OHL and want to take the next step in your career, please apply directly or send me a message for a confidential discussion. c.mcphilbin@sustainablet.co.uk 07506288718 Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Project Management Industries Construction, Civil Engineering, and Services for Renewable Energy Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Sustainable Talent LTD by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
