A vacancy has arisen for a Global Logistics Coordinator based in our Harwich office.Dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Teams members oversea transportation operations across the UK, EU and global markets. The successful candidate will coordinate shipments, manage customs and excise procedures, and liaise with customs agents and transport providers to ensure seamless movement of goods in compliance with relevant regulations.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and execute transportation of goods within the UK, EU, and international markets, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliver.Manage customs documentation and procedures for international shipments, including import/export declarations and excise goods compliance.Liaise with freight forwarders, transport providers and customs agents, to facilitate smooth clearance and delivery processes of inbound and outbound good.Monitor shipment statuses when required & proactively resolve issues or delays.Perform accurate billing and month end invoicing processes, including resolving demurrage claims.Ensure compliance with relevant customs, excise, and transportation regulations in all jurisdictions.Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, customer service and planning/distribution, to coordinate logistics activities.Assist in developing and implementing logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Inventory management in third party locations within UK and EUQualifications and ExperienceDegree Educated preferred, or several years of previous experience in logistics, or supply chain management, preferably involving UK, EU, and international markets.Knowledge of customs procedures, excise regulations, and international shipping requirements.Experience in exports is an advantage.The post holder will have excellent customer service skills, recognising both internal and external customer needs and will do their best to fulfil these, bearing in mind commercial constraints.Good communication and problem solving skills are essential together with an understanding of commercial priorities and the need to keep customers informed.Good team player, always willing to help colleagues.Ability to learn quickly and use initiative.Quick learner and flexible in approach to work.SAP or similar ERP systems knowledge would be an advantage‘A’ level education as a minimum.A second language would be a definite advantage.BenefitsThe position is full time 35 hours per week.
