The Complex Health Hub is seeking an experienced safeguarding professional to join the team to deliver a high-quality; evidence-based service that provides training and expertise in safeguarding for the Trust.Main duties of the jobThe Safeguarding Practitioner will be a highly visible team member, developing, promoting and maintaining high professional standards in safeguarding practice, for unborn's, children and adults; ensuring the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities for safeguarding. The postholder will be based within the Hub, taking a Think Family approach, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and multi-agency organisations to coordinate safeguarding responses and promote a sense of shared responsibility. Together with the Named Professionals, the post holder will contribute to the overall trust safeguarding policies and strategies, providing assurance to the Head of Safeguarding and Complex Health hub, Director of Complex Health & Professional Standards, the Executive Lead for Safeguarding and Safeguarding Assurance Committee, as well as escalate identified areas of concern for improvement.The postholder will provide advice and expertise to fellow professionals, and work with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies to assist in providing a multi-agency approach to safeguarding.About usJoin us at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and be part of a workforce of over 10,000 staffThe NNUH is one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK, providing first-class acute care for around one million people, living in Norfolk and surrounding areas.
